Multi-Engine Piston Class Rating

The MEP (Land) Class Rating can be added to an ICAO PPL or CPL following the approved course of training. Prior to commencing the course, a PPL holder must have 70 hours as Pilot-in-Command.

The MEP course consists of a minimum of 6 hours of flight training covering: aircraft differences, symmetric operations, emergency and asymmetric operations. We operate both a Diamond DA42 & Duchess BE76 on our MEP course, alternative types may be available on request. Seven hours of ground training are also required, plus a multiple choice theory exam which is provided during the course.

A Skills Test must also be passed following course completion with a Class Rating Examiner at Lee.
